Expert Option review
Expert Option is a fixed-time trading platform with a $10 minimum deposit, a $1 minimum trade and a stated maximum payout of 95%. For Indian traders, the practical questions are how deposits reach the platform, what the platform offers, and what the Reserve Bank of India has said about offshore trading sites.
Figures checked 19.10.2026What Expert Option offers Indian traders
Expert Option runs its own ExpertOption platform, available on Android, iOS and the web. The minimum deposit is $10, and the minimum trade size is $1, which keeps the entry threshold low compared with brokers that ask for larger first deposits. The stated maximum payout is 95%.
For an Indian trader, the platform itself is the main product. There is no separate MetaTrader or TradingView integration listed for Expert Option, so everything happens inside the ExpertOption app or web interface. The app is built for fixed-time contracts, with short expiry times and a simple order ticket.
The low minimum trade size means you can test the platform with small amounts. That does not change the risk of fixed-time trading: a losing trade loses the full stake. The payout percentage is the maximum, not a typical result, and it applies only when the trade finishes in the money.
Deposits and withdrawals from India
Indian traders typically deposit through UPI, bank transfer, cards or USDT. UPI is how most deposits here are made, usually through a payment partner rather than the platform itself. Bank transfer means IMPS or NEFT from any Indian bank. Cards include Visa and Mastercard, subject to your bank's international transaction limit. USDT is usually TRC-20, and it is the route traders fall back on when a card is declined.
Expert Option's minimum deposit is $10. In rupee terms, the amount your bank debits depends on the conversion rate applied by your bank or the payment partner, not by the platform. Withdrawal routes are generally the same as deposit routes, but the processing time and any fees are set by the payment partner or your bank.
Before depositing, check whether your bank blocks international merchant transactions. Many Indian banks do, which is why USDT and UPI through a payment partner have become common workarounds. None of this removes the legal question of whether the platform is authorised to deal in foreign exchange under Indian law.
Regulation and the RBI Alert List
The Reserve Bank of India authorises persons dealing in foreign exchange and the electronic trading platforms they may use, under FEMA. The RBI does not license offshore forex platforms and fixed-time contracts. Expert Option's only record we hold is membership of the Financial Commission, which is a private dispute-resolution body, not a financial regulator.
In November 2025, the RBI referred to its own Alert List of entities not authorised to deal in foreign exchange under FEMA or to operate an electronic trading platform. The list contained 95 entities as of 19 November 2025, and the RBI states the list is not exhaustive. It also states that a resident trading outside permitted purposes or on an unauthorised platform is liable under FEMA.
For an Indian resident, this means the legal exposure sits with the trader, not only with the platform. The RBI's position is that using an unauthorised electronic trading platform for foreign exchange purposes can itself be a FEMA violation. Fixed-time contracts with an offshore platform fall outside the purposes the RBI permits for resident individuals.
Expert Option trading signals and how they are used
Expert Option trading signals are a feature many Indian traders search for. The platform provides signals inside the ExpertOption interface, typically as suggested entry points or directional ideas for upcoming expiries. Signals are not a promise of outcome; they are a tool that shows what the platform's algorithm or a third-party provider considers a possible setup.
A signal does not change the payout or the risk. The maximum payout on Expert Option remains 95%, and a signal that points the wrong way loses the stake just like any other trade. Traders who use signals usually combine them with their own reading of price action, rather than following every signal automatically.
Because Expert Option is a fixed-time platform, signal timing matters. A signal is tied to a specific expiry, and entering late can change the result entirely. The platform's short expiries mean a signal is only useful if you can act on it within seconds or minutes.
How Expert Option compares on cost and access
Among the brokers on our comparison list, Expert Option sits in the middle on cost. Its $10 minimum deposit matches Quotex, IQ Option, Olymp Trade, Binomo and Exnova. Its $1 minimum trade matches Pocket Option, Quotex, IQ Option, Olymp Trade, Binomo and Exnova. Its 95% maximum payout is below Quotex's 98% and IQ Option's and Olymp Trade's 95%, and above Pocket Option's 92% and Stockity's 90%.
What Expert Option does not offer is a separate desktop trading terminal. Deriv lists MT5 and TradingView, and Pocket Option lists MT4 and MT5. Expert Option is limited to its own app and web platform. For traders who want a familiar third-party terminal, that is a real difference.
The more important comparison for Indian traders is regulatory. Several brokers on our list have no licence we could find in any register, and some carry warnings from foreign regulators. Expert Option's only record we hold is Financial Commission membership, with no regulator warnings we hold. That is not the same as being authorised by the RBI, and no broker on this list is.
