IQ Option review for traders in India
IQ Option accepts Indian traders with a minimum deposit of $10 and a minimum trade size of $1, with payouts reaching up to 95% on fixed-time contracts. This review sets out what is known about the platform, how deposits work from India, and where the regulatory gaps sit.
Figures checked 19.10.2026What IQ Option offers Indian traders
IQ Option runs its own platform, available on Android, iOS and the web. The minimum deposit is $10 and the minimum trade size is $1, which puts it in the same range as several other fixed-time contract brokers that accept Indian residents.
Payouts on IQ Option go up to 95%. That figure is the maximum the broker publishes, not a typical result, and it varies by asset and contract type. A payout percentage tells you what the platform returns on a winning trade relative to the stake; it says nothing about how often a trader wins.
The platform itself is the main product. IQ Option does not offer MT4 or MT5, so anyone who wants to use MetaTrader for charting or automated strategies will need to look elsewhere. For traders who are comfortable working inside a single broker-owned app, the web and mobile versions cover the same account and the same markets.
Deposits and withdrawals from India
Indian traders typically fund accounts through UPI, bank transfer, cards, or USDT. UPI is the most common route, usually processed through a payment partner rather than the platform itself, which means the name on the transaction may not say IQ Option.
Bank transfer works through IMPS or NEFT from any Indian bank. Cards are accepted as Visa and Mastercard, subject to the bank's international transaction limit, and USDT is usually moved on TRC-20 when a card is declined.
IQ Option does not publish a withdrawal fee schedule or processing times in the reference data we hold. Before depositing, check the payment page inside the platform for the current methods, any minimum withdrawal amount, and whether the same route used for deposit must be used for withdrawal. Indian banks can also apply their own charges on international card transactions, which are separate from anything the broker charges.
Licensing and regulatory position in India
IQ Option holds CySEC licence 247/14, which covers the European Economic Area. That is a real licence in its home jurisdiction, but it does not authorise the broker to offer fixed-time contracts to residents of India.
The Reserve Bank of India licenses authorised persons dealing in foreign exchange and the electronic trading platforms they may use, under FEMA. Offshore forex platforms and fixed-time contracts are not something the RBI licenses. In November 2025, the RBI referred to its own Alert List of entities not authorised to deal in foreign exchange under FEMA or to operate an electronic trading platform. The list held 95 entities as of 19.11.2025, and the RBI states the list is not exhaustive and that a resident trading outside permitted purposes or on an unauthorised platform is liable under FEMA.
Other brokers in this space show how varied the picture is. Deriv lists MFSA 70156, Labuan FSA MB/18/0024 and VFSC company No. 14556. Pocket Option holds MISA (Mwali) T2022086 but carries warnings from the FCA, Consob and CFTC. Quotex and Exnova have no licence found in any register we read, and BinaryCent appears on multiple warning lists including the VFSC notice of fraud and the CFTC red list. Against that backdrop, IQ Option's CySEC licence is at least verifiable, but it does not change the Indian position.
How IQ Option compares on cost and payout
IQ Option sits mid-table among the brokers we track. Its $10 minimum deposit matches Quotex, Olymp Trade, Binomo, Expert Option and Exnova, while Deriv starts lower at $5 and BinaryCent is a clear outlier at $250.
On payouts, IQ Option's 95% maximum is above Stockity at 90%, Pocket Option at 92%, Binomo at 90% and Exnova at 92%, but below Quotex at 98% and Deriv at 100%. Minimum trade size is $1 across most of the field, with Deriv at $0.35 and BinaryCent at $0.10.
- IQ Option: $10 minimum deposit, $1 minimum trade, 95% maximum payout
- Deriv: $5 minimum deposit, $0.35 minimum trade, 100% maximum payout
- Pocket Option: $5 minimum deposit, $1 minimum trade, 92% maximum payout
- Quotex: $10 minimum deposit, $1 minimum trade, 98% maximum payout
- Stockity: $10 minimum deposit, $1 minimum trade, 90% maximum payout
These figures are the published maximums. A high payout percentage does not make an outcome more likely; it only changes the arithmetic of a winning trade.
What to check before opening an IQ Option account
The practical checks are straightforward. Confirm the deposit method you plan to use is live on the platform, because UPI and card availability can change without notice. Check your bank's international transaction settings if you plan to use a card, and keep the transaction reference from any UPI payment partner, since the name on the statement may not match the broker.
On the regulatory side, the RBI Alert List is the document to read. It is not a ban on visiting a website, but it sets out the legal exposure for residents who trade on unauthorised platforms, and the RBI has said a resident trading outside permitted purposes is liable under FEMA. That is a different risk from losing money on a trade; it is a legal risk that sits with the trader, not the broker.
If something goes wrong, the relevant Indian authorities are the Income Tax Department for tax questions and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal for fraud or payment disputes. Neither is a substitute for reading the broker's own terms, but they are the routes available to an Indian resident.
